legal predecessor of our company, Industrial Venture Capital Ltd. was
transformed as a company limited by shares in 1993. The company continued
its activity from 1999 under the name of COVENT Industrial Capital Investment
Co. Ltd, from 2004 COVENT Capital Investment Co. Ltd., with a share capital of HUF 618 million. Special
fields
The principle activity of our company encompasses
industrial property development, property utilisation, and especially the
establishment and operation of rehabilitated industrial parks. Our
activity in industrial property development involves the following process:
after the settlement of the proprietary rights of an industrial area-closed
down on account of restructuring-we strip it of environmentally harmful
elements. This is followed by any demolition work deemed necessary, and
landscaping. Next, we renovate the remaining buildings, and develop (or
rebuild) the infrastructure. As a result, the area becomes suited for
industrial usage, presenting an excellent opportunity for enterprises
that wish to move in. Operation
of industrial parks By
offering complex legal, financial and entrepreneurial
services, and by sharing the experiences of many years, our company seeks
to help the operation of enterprises who decide to take advantage of our
industrial premises. Our portfolio consists of Ózd Industrial Park and Bicske-M1 Industrial Park and Logistic Centre, both of which we operate and develop.
The
project involved-parallel with the overall reorganisation of the steel
industry of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county in crisis-hit North Hungary-the
creation of a new, rehabilitated industrial park, on some 51 hectares
of the original industrial plant at Ózd, with an eye to contributing to
the economic transformation and structural changes of the region, and
promoting a fresh entrepreneurial environment. Over 80 enterprises are
already operating on the premises, employing some 1,400 people. The cheap
and diversely qualified labour available, the proximity of the markets
of the neighbouring countries, the regional preferences and tax allowances
granted for the creation of jobs, infrastructural development, and rehabilitation
make Ózd Industrial Park an ideal place both for Hungarian and foreign
investors. The development and complex utilisation of the park is undertaken
by Ózd Industrial Park Ltd., under the majority ownership of COVENT Co. Ltd. Bicske-M1
